Sewable, chalkboard like fabric. This simple, yet functional product has a superior writing surface upon which chalk glides and holds well. It is completely reusable and should be considered a sustainable product which will conserve paper and save precious resources. Before using the ChalkCloth it is recommended to "season" its surface by rubbing the side of a piece of chalk across the whole surface, side to side, top to bottom. Then wipe off the chalk with a soft cloth or dry sponge. Repeat process again. The ChalkCloth is now "cured" and ready for years of enjoyment. The ChalkCloth is erasable and a damp sponge may be used to completely renew. With proper care ChalkCloth can provide years of use. Some suggestions are for teaching, child play (indoor marble games, hopscotch, etc.), message boards at home and office, sketching, construction diagrams and menus. It has been featured lately as a covering for picture frames and notebooks. Texture of fabric is very much like vinyl. ChalkCloth is being sold by 1/2 yard increments (18" x 48"). Quanity 1 = 1/2 yard. We will ship in 1/2 yard rolls. Better to roll than fold.
